This afternoon, Station 6 was dispatched to assist Wyndmoor Hose at a vehicle fire on Cheltenham Avenue. Upon arrival, Rescue 82 had an SUV fully involved with ignited gasoline flowing down the street. Due to these conditions foam was applied and the fire was brought under control.
Work is ongoing on our new Ladder at Pierce’s factory in Appleton, Wisconsin. Update 01/08: Progress continues. The aerial ladder sections have arrived.

Tom Erwine, ESI Equipment sales representative and former Flourtown Fire Co. member, stopped by the firehouse to donate $1000 in “Firehouse” cash to the company. While working at the Firehouse Expo Tom won the $1000 that can be spent on equipment purchases. Tom thought of Flourtown purchasing a new ladder truck and wanted to help his old company out.
Thanks for thinking of us Tom!!
